Who's Fresh & Hot in Atlanta Music?

"New Faces are hitting the music scene daily but if it's not Hot then we don't want to hear it!"

Today people want music they can relate to and more importantly hold your attention because that is what keeps the crowds happy. Hip Hop Artist Jamond Hart known to many by his stage name "LayedBak" is giving the people just what they are looking for by producing phenomenal music!

"LayedBak" is making waves as an Independent Hip Hop Artist and songwriter straight out of Southeast Washington, D.C!

"LayedBak" states that although he was only able to experience a brief moment in the Nation's Capital, it is still an inspirational place that helped him to evolve into the amazing artist that he has become today.

"LayedBak" was born in Charlotte, NC and relocated to the Atlanta, GA area to pursue his dream in the music industry as well as to bring some extra heat to the city with lyrics that transform you by combining a hot mixture of Pop, R&B, and that old school rap that we love!

"LayedBak" states that his passion for music began at an early age when he was influenced by his cousin, a known local artist, who taught him that you need to become a scientist of word play and literature before you make that leap into the Hip Hop industry.

"LayedBak" took hold of the advice given to him by his cousin and was determined to produce a style with his music that was different and untouchable! His desire was to not only produce music that sounded like every other artist but to present music that would definitely make you pause & say,"Who's That?".

After taking his time and putting in a lot of effort and dedication with his music, he then decided it was time to branch out and give the streets something much needed. It was time to take things to the next level in his music career!

When asked who inspires him the most in the industry, "LayedBak" stated that his inspirations come from artists such as, Jay Z, NAS, Andre 3000, Lauren Hill, Rico Love, Biggie, Tupac, and Eminem.

You can definitely tell that he has formulated his music by listening to some of the greatest to ever do it in all genres of music!

I had the pleasure of checking out his latest single, titled "Hustle" and this joint is definitely worthy of radio play! Trust me, if I like it then you know its jumping!
"Hustle" defines something we all have been doing all of our life especially if you never came in this world with privilege. I can definitely relate to this joint and I feel others will relate to it as well. "LayedBak" is reflecting in his music the reality of life but also tossing in some bomb beats that leave you head nodding and tuned in to every verse. You never know what a person has been through and if you don't know then you definitely won't understand the reason behind the "Hustle". Be sure to go download this hit single, its everywhere on ITunes, Google Play and Spotify! I already downloaded it so I'll be listening to it while you all add it to your playlist!
I'm ready for the entire album to drop!

What can I say about LayedBak? He has what it takes to rock the Hip Hop industry!
Can we say shout out to the "Hustle"?!
Without it, where would most of us be? Go now and cop that single!

"LayedBak" is an Artist you should keep your eyes on!

Single Mother Needs Help to not Lose her Place!

Everyday someone is facing a tragedy or devastating need for help.
I recently have found myself in that very situation.

I work hard as a single mother to raise my beautiful 8 year old daughter but recently some changes in my income have caused me to fall into a desperate need for help. I am reaching out to all of those who support my blog as well as what I do for some assistance.

All of your donations will go towards helping me and my daughter to keep our place.
My landlord stated earlier this week that he didn't see my situation turning around but I'm a firm believer that God can do the impossible! I don't believe that he has allowed me to come this far in my life just to lose everything I have.

I'm a fighter and I will not give up on myself! My daughter is an A/B student at her school and losing our place would cause me to have to remove her from her school to find shelter. We are truly believing that God has some good hearted souls out there who can and will be a blessing.

We all go through storms at some point in our life and you can accept defeat or keep fighting! I choose to fight!

I worked and pushed myself through college with good days and bad days to obtain my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. I then relocated out of a city that I was struggling in to find work so that I could give my daughter better. I have worked security jobs and more just to make ends meet for me and my daughter.

So I refuse to lose it all and go backwards!

So those who would like to be a blessing to us can donate anything God places on your heart to give by going to:

Your gifts no matter the size all help & matter to me. I love you all and keep supporting the blog.

Brandon T. Jackson "Fresh-N-Funny Tour" in Atlanta, GA

Friday night in Atlanta, Georgia was busy as usual with people trying to beat traffic and get ready to start their weekend off right. If you were like me, then you were getting dressed to beat the lines to the Uptown Comedy Corner located at 800 Marietta St NW to see the Actor/Comedian Brandon T. Jackson hit the stage for his #FreshNFunny tour.

Jackson recently had just came back from doing a show in Sacramento, CA at the Punch Line Comedy Club. The show was sold out!

Jackson made his way down to Atlanta, GA accompanied by another comedian on the tour with him by the name of Brandon Scanavich. Brandon Scanavich is a young stand-up comedian from Memphis, TN and has traveled along with other comedians such as Michael Blackson and has truly been on the rise with his comedy career! The young comedian teamed up with Jackson and has been traveling along side him during the #FreshNFunny tour.

Double Brandon's equaled Double the laughs!

This was my first time seeing Brandon T. Jackson perform live. Jackson is known for his many roles in movies such as, "Lottery Ticket", "Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief and its sequel, "Roller Bounce", and "Big Momma's: Like Father, Like Son", to name a few.

To actually see the young actor hit the stage outside of the big screen was absolutely amazing.

You often hear that some actors who play humorous roles are only funny on the screen but I can attest that Jackson is funny on the screen and off the screen without a script!

The show was amazing!

Scanavich & Jackson  gave us that down to earth comedy that we all could relate to in our personal life. It's not easy making me laugh but they both did just that and I was glad to have been in attendance.

To be able to relate to your crowd is absolutely what comedians need to be skilled at. Jackson came out on stage giving us laugh after laugh as he shared stories of family experiences and a few tips about relationships that kept us all on the edge of our seats laughing. Although we were able to find humor in what he shared, there was also some knowledge being tossed out there which made us relate more to what he had to say.

The weekend for the comedians led to a sold out show in Atlanta!
If you were wondering about attending a show this year to hear the comedians then you definitely should grab your tickets in advance!

Be sure to follow Actor/Comedian Brandon T. Jackson on Instagram & Twitter (@brandontjackson) & also be sure to  follow Comedian Brandon Scanavich on Instagram(@brandonscanavich).

You can also keep up with both comedians on Facebook!

Have you noticed the clothing that both Brandon's are rocking?

Brandon T. Jackson has his own clothing line out called, "Kingdom Living Clothing". You can purchase the shirts that they are rocking by following Brandon T. Jackson on Instagram and clicking the link in his Bio to place an order!

Be sure to catch the #FreshNFunny Tour this year and if you meet either of them, then right before taking that picture, pause and tell them that Starrdom100 Blog said to get a ticket because the show will definitely be worth the trip!

Kazoola Eatery & Entertainment in Mobile, Alabama!

Are you wondering what to do on a Friday night in Mobile, Alabama?

Then I know a spot that you should definitely be sure to stop by.

While deciding to take a stroll through the beautiful downtown area of my home  city, Mobile, Alabama, I happened to hear some real soulful music. I had to follow the sound because I love the neo soul type of music so I bypassed a ton of spots to later find myself standing in front of Kazoola!

I stood just outside of the glass nodding my head to the live band that was playing before a lady who must have been in charge noticed me and my guy & invited us inside to check it out.

The lights were dim and the place which was full of beautiful purple lights had a nice mature crowd of people relaxing and nodding their head to the band. I must admit that I was truly in awe because I had not witnessed a more laid back soulful venue in my home city before.

I stood the entire time, not once taking a seat because I was too busy clapping my hands to the music of the band and live singing.

The name of the spot which is "Kazoola" comes from the middle name of, Cudjoe Kazoola Lewis, or Cudjo Lewis, who was the last known survivor of the Atlantic slave trade between Africa and the United States. Together with 115 other captives, he was brought illegally to the United States on board the ship Clotilde in 1860 to Mobile Bay.

Kazoola showcased many of the historical arts that represented the area of "Magazine Point" known historically as "Africa Town". Africa Town is where the last slave ship settled in Mobile Bay known as the Clotilde. Mr. Cudjoe Lewis was actually a relative to my step- grandmother.

Having grew up in the area of "Africa Town" on Chin Street, it was nice to see the art of Cudjoe represented as well as old pictures from my former middle school, (MCTS) Mobile County Training Middle School which formally had been a High School years ago.

I highly recommend anyone who is in town visiting the city of Mobile, Alabama to make Kazoola one of your stops!
Tell them that Starrdom100 Blog recommended you to visit!

Kazoola is downtown's newest jazz bar and restaurant. Live entertainment Thursday - Sunday. Enjoy Thursday "Jam Sessions" and play alongside musicians. Happy Hour is Monday - Friday, 4pm - 7pm. No cover Thursday - Friday.
